Basic Tenets

Contract documents are an instrument binding an Owner and a Contractor to perform specific services. Therefore the documents must be as accurate as possible to protect the interests of both the Owner and the Contractor.

The elements of design in contract documents must not be in conflict with each other.

A third party review of contract documents by experienced professionals is far and away the best method of quality assurance.

Change orders due to design conflicts and discrepancies are costly and cause disputes, construction delays and inevitably disrupt the construction process to the detriment of all parties.

The ideal time to perform a quality assurance review is when the project is ready for construction and at a point when changes to the documents can be made prior to issuing for bidding.
